By requirement of Article VII, Section 2(i) of the Society Constitution, Article III, Sections 4 and 5 of the Bylaws and Article VII of the Standing Rules of the Journal of the Patent and Trademark Office Society, all active members of the Society are advised of the following open position.

The Journal of the Patent and Trademark Office Society (JPTOS) is currently looking to fill three (3) assistant editor positions for a renewable one-year term. The position is VOLUNTARY and open to all PTOS members who possess or are pursuing a Juris Doctorate or equivalent degree in law.

QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates must be or have the following qualifications:
• The Assistant Editor must be an active member of the Society.
• Possess or actively pursuing a Juris Doctorate from and accredited institution.
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Word.

DUTIES
• Successful candidates will edit one law review article per quarter according to the 19th Edition of the Bluebook. Publishing deadlines are the first of March, June, September and December. Candidates will have approximately one month prior to the deadline for each article, with extensions offered as necessary.

SELECTION PROCESS
• All applicants must submit a qualifications statement and résumé.
• A personal interview may be required.
• This position is voluntary.
