Evening at the Embassy of Chile with the Ambassador

Tonight, H.E. Ambassador Juan G. Valdes and the diplomats from Chile are proud and excited to officially welcome you to the embassy.  Take in the beauty and excitement of Chile, without ever boarding a plane.

On Wednesday, March 15, step onto foreign soil as we invite you to experience an energetic, culturally magnificent South American nation at the Embassy of Chile.  Through the food, drink, live music, diplomats and other cultural aspects of the evening, we'll experience the rich customs of the multiple regions of Chile.

FEATURING:
1) Diplomatic Greeting by the Ambassador
Meet and hear from Ambassador Valdes and other leading Chilean diplomats from the embassy and their staff, who will be on hand to answer any questions you may have.

2) Live Chilean Music
Tonight, we will have the privilege of experiencing the live Chilean musical talents of Mauricio Miranda.  Mauricio, a frequent performer of Chilean folklore and opera, including at the Kennedy Center, will present us with a special rendition of several Chilean songs.  A live (and potentially interactive) dance presentation is included.

3) Chilean Bar
Enjoy a variety of Chilean wines, regional beers and nonalcoholic drinks. 

4) Chilean food
Enjoy a full buffet of native Chilean food

5) Chilean Art
Marvel at the special paintings and architecture of this special embassy.

6) Film
A special film highlighting the beauty and culture of Chile will be featured to showcase the beauty of Santiago and all of Chile’s landscapes, the Andes, the people and customs.

Dress code: Business Attire.
