By requirement of Article VII, Section 2(i) of the Society Constitution, Article III, Sections 4 and 5 of the By Laws and Article VII of the Standing Rules of the Journal of the Patent and Trademark Office Society, all active members of the Society are advised of the following open position.
The Journal of the Patent and Trademark Office Society (JPTOS) is currently looking to fill multiple article editor positions for a renewable one-year term. The position is VOLUNTARY and open to all PTOS members who possess or are pursuing a Juris Doctor or equivalent degree in law.
Qualifications
• The Article Editors must be an active member of the Society.
• Possess or actively pursuing a Juris Doctor from an accredited institution. Those currently pursuing their degree must have successfully completed their 1L year.
• Must be capable of editing legal articles using the Bluebook.
• Must have a basic understanding of Microsoft Word.
• Prior Journal experience is preferred, but not required.
Duties
Successful candidates will edit one law review article per quarter according to the 20th Edition of the Bluebook. The Journal historically publishes issues in March, June, September and December. Article editors will have a deadline of one month to edit each assigned article, with extensions offered as necessary.
Selection Process

• A personal interview may be required.
• This position is voluntary.
