Title: Celebrate Bike to Work Day on Friday, May 18!

Thousands of area commuters ride their bikes to work each year on National Bike to Work Day to demonstrate that bicycling is a healthy, practical, economical, and environmentally friendly way to get to work. This year, National Bike to Work Day is May 18.

Carlyle pit stop (6:30am-8:30am): In recognition of this year’s Bike to Work Day, the Carlyle Community Council will host a “Bike to Work Day Pit Stop” at John Carlyle Square Park, one block northeast of the USPTO campus. Stop by between 6:30 and 8:30 a.m. for free food, riding gear, and prizes. To register and receive a free Bike to Work t-shirt and water bottle, visit Bike to Work Metro D.C.

For more information, contact Jim Nowak by email or phone at 571-272-6534.

Campus pit stop (8am-10am): Join PTOS, the Triathlon Club, and FAPTO on Friday, May 18, to celebrate Bike to Work Day!  We will be providing refreshments from 8am - 10am by the Buckeyball fountain in the courtyard.  Cyclist and non-cyclist alike, please join us to hydrate and learn more about the PTO cycling community!
