PTOS is pleased to announce a special presentation from the experts of Brazilian IP law with issues surrounding the Brazilian Patent and Trademark Office.

On Tuesday, May 10th, 2016 we will have the pleasure of special guests from Brazil to speak on topics including:

The benchmarks of the Brazilian PTO; the current understanding of the Brazilian PTO on hot issues: biotech, pharma, telecom, internet, laws of nature, etc. (Otto Licks)

The relationship between The Brazilian PTO and the Brazilian federal government with the Federal Judiciary. The standard of review of administrative decisions by federal judges. (Liliane Roriz)

What to expect from the IP policy making agenda. (Nuno Carvalho)

The government after the impeachment procedures: new government or severe changes in the current one. (Regis Arslanian), Potential impacts for IP / patent agenda, budget for Brazilian PTO, etc.
