Where: Kennedy Center
2700 F St. NW

Purchase from: http://ptos.org/reservations/

World-renowned cellist and Kennedy Center Artistic Advisor at Large Yo-Yo Ma, called "the best-known, most versatile music soloist in this country and perhaps in the world" (The Washington Post), joins the NSO for a concert celebration of John F. Kennedy's monumental legacy. The program also features a world premiere from Kennedy Center Composer-in-Residence Mason Bates featuring the return of mezzo-soprano Sasha Cooke.

He is, as the Washington Post's Anne Midgette put it in 2011, "the best-known, most versatile, most engaged, music soloist in this country and perhaps in the world.... Rather than resting on his laurels and continuing to perform the same kinds of music in the same way, he has consistently stretched himself throughout his career ...building on his own preternatural affinity for people."
