***SEEKING JUDGES FOR THE 2008 VIRGINIA STATE SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING FAIR AT GEORGE MASON UNIVERSITY***
The 2008 Virginia State Science and Engineering Fair is scheduled to be held on April 12, 2008 at George Mason University's Fairfax campus in Virginia. Participants in this state fair are high school
students whose projects have received recognition in regional fairs across the state of Virginia. Among the many goals of the fair include stimulating an active interest in science and engineering, providing an educational experience for high school students, and giving recognition to talented students for the work they have done. There is currently a need for judges for this event and your participation in this fair as a judge will help us tremendously in meeting these goals.
Students will be demonstrating projects in 18 categories including:
Animal Sciences
Behavioral and Social Sciences
Biochemistry
Cellular and Molecular Biology
Chemistry
Computer Science
Earth Science
Energy and Transportation
Engineering: Electrical and Mechanical
Engineering: Materials and Bioengineering
Environmental Sciences
Environmental Management
Mathematical Sciences
Medicine and Health Sciences
Microbiology
Physics and Astronomy
Plant Sciences
Team Projects
