PTOS Education Committee presents Continuing Legal Education (CLE):

Three Keys to Negotiating Success

RESCHEDULED: Monday, February 9th from 4-5pm ET

Presented by Susan Borke

In-person: Jefferson 1st floor Conference Center

Online: Microsoft Teams (link below)

About this CLE: How great would it be if you could walk into any negotiation feeling confident and walk away satisfied that you had the best possible outcome? Susan Borke will teach you three elements that you can use to improve your negotiations with your managers, team members, clients, contractors, vendors, and even friends or family. In this class, you will learn specific behaviors and actions to create maximum value for you and your counterpart, including how to:

- Become aware of opportunities to negotiate

- Learn and adopt a strategic negotiating mindset

- Understand the strategic negotiating process

- Experience a deeper dive into three fundamentals of effective research

About Susan Borke & BorkeWorks: Susan Borke, the principal of BorkeWorks, is passionate about helping people develop as effective negotiators. She believes no one is born a master negotiator. Great negotiation skills come from a combination of knowledge, training, and practice. Susan has over thirty-five years of negotiating and negotiation training experience with domestic and international commercial companies, educational institutions, and nonprofits as a media executive at CBS and in-house counsel at National Geographic.

“If you don’t ask, you don’t get.” Susan Borke first used this simple principle as a financially strapped college student who needed to find a way to get course credit for an unpaid internship, without paying tuition. It was one of her first successful negotiations and helped to spark her passion for teaching this strategy, and other effective negotiating techniques, to businesspeople and legal professionals of every level.

BorkeWorks’ mission is to help organizations and individuals tap into the power of strong negotiation skills. Susan Borke provides a research-based, problem-solving, interactive approach to negotiation training and consulting that transforms participants into more effective and successful negotiators. BorkeWorks programs get rave reviews from attendees and sponsoring organizations.
