However, instead of getting on a plane we invite you to an all out explosive celebration at the Potomac MD residence of the Ambassador from Burkina Faso! Journey into the heart of Africa as we experience the mysteries and the culture of our hosts! Step onto foreign soil at this huge estate as we travel halfway across the world without ever leaving the DMV for a multi-faceted unique Saturday Night! Featuring a rare treat of Burkina Faso food, drinks, music, live dance show, late night DJ, fashion, diplomats, film, and more! FEATURING: A) African Buffet Dinner: Prepared by a native Chef from Burkina Faso! You cannot experience anything more native than this! The chef will prepare a special buffet of dishes. Challenge your palates to the wonderful course (and desserts) as if fresh from her native homeland. B) Burkina Faso Open Bar (Beer, Wine and Special Native Drinks) C) Special Live Musical and Dance Cultural Presentation from Burkina Faso Experience a very unique performance from native dancers and musicians. They will also offer optional dance lessons to learn moves rarely seen outside of Burkina Faso! D) Diplomatic Greeting: Hear from our hosts and feel free to schmooze and network with the entire diplomatic staff, all of whom will be invited to this special evening. E) Burkina Faso Art: The embassy has arranged for the presentation of traditional Masks, Attire and Fabrics as well as other special artifacts and paintings unseen to most Americans’ eyes. The staff will be on hand to personally discuss the art’s origins and meaning with you. F) LATE NIGHT DJ: As it is Saturday night, we will dance and dance and dance to the tunes of popular African songs (mixed in with some top 40 American songs as well. SUGGESTED ATTIRE Smart Causal.
