PTOS Wine Tour
Back by popular demand...
PTOS Wine Tasting
September 5th (first Friday) meet at Dunn-Loring metro 10:00am. Bus will return at 5:00 pm.
We’ll be visiting Hillsborough, Loudoun, and Tarara Vineyards.
$38/person, includes bus and tasting fees for two vineyards. PTOS pays the other tasting fee.

1. Please be at the Dunn-Loring/Merrifield Metro Station no later than 10:00 a.m. We will meet at the kiss & ride. The bus is a 35 passenger mini bus from Chariots for Hire. The Dunn-Loring/Merrifield Metro Station is accessible by the orange line metro train and taxicab. Parking is available at the station.
2. The schedule is as follows:
* Gather at Dunn-Loring/Merrifield Metro Station 9:45 a.m.
* Leave Metro Station 10:00 a.m. sharp
* (55 minutes of travel time)
* Hillsborough 11:15 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.
* (15 minutes of travel time)
* Loudoun & Lunch 12:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
* (30 minutes of travel time)
* Tarara 2:30 p.m. – 3:45 p.m.
* (55 minutes of travel time)
* Return to Metro Station 5:00 p.m.
Please be considerate of your fellow passengers and return to the bus on schedule.
3. Pack a picnic lunch! All Vineyards have an outdoor picnic area. If the weather is cold or rainy you can eat on the bus. Please make sure that you bring bottled water to drink, as you will be tasting a variety of wines. Please take your trash with you when exiting the bus.
4. If you would like information on the wineries, please visit www.virginiawines.org. The wineries that we are visiting are located in the northern region.
