Mathcounts Competition – Volunteers Needed

Love working with kids in science and math? The PTOS Education Committee is looking for volunteers to help with the MATHCOUNTS Northern Virginia Chapter Competition at the USPTO.
MATHCOUNTS® is a national middle school competitive math program promoting mathematics achievement through exciting competitions. In addition, students will learn about math and intellectual property.
 
Many Volunteer Positions are Available!
Scorer  - Score competition papers (Answers provided!!!)
Proctor - Actively monitor competitors during competition
Registration - Check in student participants, distribute badges, etc.
Experiment - Guide cryptography and IP activities with students
Data Entry - Enter scores into Excel-based software
Museum Volunteers - Guide students and parents through National Inventor’s Hall of Fame Museum

Competition Date: Saturday, February 2
Time: 8am - 4pm (time slots - morning/afternoon/all day)
