Job Announcement

Assistant Executive director- Journal of the Patent and Trademark Office Society

 

 

By requirement of Article VII, Section 2(i) of the Society Constitution, Article III, Sections 4 and 5 of the By Laws and Article VII of the Standing Rules of the Journal of the Patent and Trademark Office Society, a vacancy is being announced to all active members of the Society in the position of Financial Director of the Journal of the Patent and Trademark Office Society.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrated Skill set to perform the duties noted below.
  • Previous publishing experience is a plus, but not necessary.
  • Must be an active member of the society.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting/bookkeeping is a plus, but not necessary.
  • Responsibilities will require access to a car on a weekly basis.
  • Knowledge of web design and database management is a plus, but not necessary.

 

DUTIES

·         The Assistant Director shall assist the Executive Director, as well as Financial Director, in matters such as membership coordination, data entry, mail entries, back issue fulfillment, customer service, and documentation of operating procedures.

 

SELECTION PROCESS

·         All applicants must submit their qualifications statement.

·         A personal interview conducted by the Board of Governors may be required.

·         This position will be filled by majority vote of the Board of Governors with the advice and consent of the Board of Directors of the Society.
