Ethics for Trademark Attorneys: Lessons from Arguing at the Supreme Court and from Decades of Practice

Trademark attorneys face many ethical issues, some of which are unique to their specialty.  One especially important issue for trademark attorneys is spotting fraudulent applications and deciding what to do about them.  Communications with unrepresented parties and investigators can create ethical issues for trademark attorneys.  Other issues may include prevention of competency problems, supervision of employees, duty of avoid misleading tribunals and civility guidelines.
